The demonstrator for the evening was Wendy Smith and her title was ‘Travels with My Aunt’.
Wendy took as her inspiration the Graham Greene novel/play/film ‘Travels with My Aunt’ with her first stop, Brighton, where she depicted the Brighton Pavilion using purple, cream, and pink roses, carnations, and eustoma in front of a replica of the pavilion.
Next was a trip on the Orient Express where the arrangement of white roses and veronica was seen through the carriage window.
On to Paris with an exhibit of yellow gladioli, roses and agapanthus displayed is a box.
Then on to Istanbul with an exotic display of orange lilies, ginger flower and spray chrysanthemums in a basket.
Finally we were whisked to Rio with an arrangement of tropical foliage and vibrant coloured calla lilies and gerbera.
Dot Campbell gave a warm and hearty vote of thanks.
