The demonstrator was Mr. Derek Armstrong who entertained and enthralled us with unique designs and beautiful flowers, while he chatted and worked so quickly and efficiently.
The evening opened with a table centre creation of three placements using decorative pineapples, pink astilbe roses and anemones.
Next he used mostly red and yellow berries in a very striking upright way with a posy at the base of foliage red roses and carnations.
He went on to wow us with a three placement traditional creation of red and green complimented by Santa’s red willies.
Amaryllis is a traditional Christmas flower but Derek used it in a new way to give us a stunning up right display of peach coloured complementary flowers and foliage.
As he amused us with stories of his work in stunning surroundings he effortlessly and deftly produced a had-tied bunch to the delight of everyone.
As a finale Derek made a white two placement design with cut out Christmas trees, using hydrangers, lilies, neriens and gerberas enhanced by remote controlled candles which intrigued the audience.
Everyone had a wonderful evening; making a note of next years date as the left.
