November 2015 Meeting

Tuesday 10th November 2015, the demonstrator was Kathleen Gibson. Kathleen, a talented and experienced demonstrator and teacher, made all the containers she was using, and kept us entertained with her stories and festive music.

The opening design represented Jack Frost for which she used white lilies and carnations with silver glitter and white apples.

Next on a circle background to represent the moon Kathleen gave us a representation of Santa flying through the sky using a selection of foliage with green cymbidium orchids and spray chrysanthemums enhanced by green sprayed and glittered lotus seed heads.

A contemporary Christmas tree design featured in the third arrangement with amaryllis, pink roses and green carnations brought to life with Christmas glitter.

Continuing the theme the next creation took us to the manger at Bethlehem, which Kathleen had constructed from platted straw in which she arranged sparkling spruce with white anthuriums and spray chrysanthemums complimented by deep purple spray orchids.

The finale was a two placement design with traditional Christmas red roses and green chrysanthemums with gold sprayed ivy leaves.

Everyone enjoyed the demonstration and the vote of thanks was given by Sandra Halkett.
